Spinel Glass

Note: Spinel is no longer a part of the MLP:FIM next gen I created, but now a part of my own AU

Bio:
Spinel arrived as an abandoned colt to the kingdom.  He has faint memories of his mother and father, but when his parents died, he was cast out of his dragon clan.  He grew up as an orphan and worked his way up the chain to become nobility.  This lead to his personality being a little more cocky and prideful of his dragon heritage and the uniqueness of his existence.  His ego was further fueled by being around all the nobility of the kingdom.  Teachers struggled to control his dragon pride since  he would become boastful around the other colts.  This caused him to be isolated in a way until he met Eventide, who matched his prideful attitude.

Bratty as a young colt, when Spinel hit his growth spurt as a teenager and grew larger than everypony around him, his smugness expanded as he decided he didn't have to listen to anypony anymore.  One day, though, Spinel got into an argument with Eve and in a moment of anger lashed out, injuring her horn so badly she couldn't use her magic.  Horrified by what he'd done, every single word his teachers had ever said about being humble and kind suddenly crashed into him.  Ever since then, Spinel's personality had a complete turn-around.  He did everything that was asked of him.  Thoughts of his cruelty sunk him into depression, even though Eve's magic returned over time and she had forgiven him.  He tried to hide it in his kind acts when other pony's asked for his help.

Noctide was the one who saw Spinel losing himself after hurting his sister.  Requesting his 'Aunt' Asura to let him come stay with him, Noctide introduced him to Averzhon, Accord, and Havoc.  It didn't work at first, as Spinel had become anti-social for a while, until one day Havoc challenged him to a race.  Being just as hotheaded as he had been, Spinel accepted thinking he would put him down a notch.  But even after winning, Havoc wasn't discouraged and worked harder to get better instead.  This opened up Spinel's eyes and he realized he could still have his pride, but to work harder at doing what his teachers had taught him.

As an adult, Spinel's pride returned, though he knew not to let it become too arrogant toward others unless it's Havoc.  He is not so prone to anger anymore, hurting Eventide had been all he wanted to experience.  After living with Noctide for so long, he took in hisquiet and calculating ways before acting brashly as he used to.  

Relationships:
Parents - Spinel's parents died when he was still very young.  As a half-pony hybrid, he was cast out by his dragon clan and isolated by other ponies.

Averzhon, Noctide & Havoc - Spinel and the others became best friends when they grew older.  Surprising, since Spinel is much younger than all of them.  Spinel is the loudest of the four, though not by much.  Rev is the most anti-social and no one knows (especially himself) how he got roped into this friendship.  Noctide is the voice of reason out of them all.
And Havoc is his absolute BFF, since both had grown up seemingly as orphans and a difference species they understood each other well.  The relationship between Spinel and Havoc can get very competitive sometimes, no funny business.  They range from being friendly rivals to complete villains in each other's lives.  While he tries to be nice at first, Spinel's old personality surfaces the most around Havoc, as he is just as hotheaded and arrogant as Spinel was.  This allows him to give in to his pride and tease Havoc without the repercussion of hurt feelings.  Havoc is always determined to beat Spinel in any forms of racing, though he always loses.  Even so, they remain good friends, as Havoc usually gets Spinel back with his pranks.

Eventide - Spinel and Eve have had an on and off-again relationship since they met.  He tries not to get too hung up on her since he knows she has a crush on Rev, but you can't control who you like...

Talents & Abilities/Cutie Mark
Spinel actually doesn't have a cutie mark as he takes more after his father's side.  He is actually quite happy about this as he was afraid when he was younger of having something stupid or cute on his flank that would deteriorate his dragon image.  He does have some talents, though.  Spinel is a very skilled flier, not as agile since he is larger than everypony else besides Havoc, but he is very fast and still capable of beating even some of the most talented pegasi.  Spinel can also breath fire, his flames are of a purple hue, but only in small doses.
